BETHESDA'S RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT SERVICES

WHO is this for?
Bethesda’s Residential Treatment Services...
... are for adults with developmental disabilities, over the age of 18, who are experiencing severe behavioural issues and require a specialized residential placement outside of their home. This service is for individuals who reside in the region of Niagara, Hamilton, Brant, or Haldimand/Norfolk.

WHAT is offered?
Bethesda’s Residential Treatment Services...
... offer a variety of treatment options, including short-term and long-term placements, designed to meet the individual’s specific needs. Participants will reside in a group home-like or apartment setting, enjoying private bedrooms.

Each individual’s treatment will be outlined in a Behaviour Intervention Plan implemented by Bethesda’s clinical team, and revised according to the person’s progress.

While receiving treatment, individuals are connected to a variety of Bethesda’s services including music therapy, drama, specialized day activities, social skills and recreation opportunities.

The individual may also access Bethesda’s multidisciplinary services including psychiatry, psychology, and speech and language services.
A step-down program prepares the individual for return to their home community.
