WHO is this for?
Bethesda's Autism Consultation Services (ACS)

provides consultation, support and education to families and agencies that support children, under the age of 18, who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and reside in the Niagara region.

WHAT is provided?
  1. Initial Consultation within 2 – 4 months of receipt of the referral
    • Gather background information and share resources with the family
    • Provide information about community resources
    • Provide copy of the Initial Assessment Report to the family with initial recommendations
  2. Parent Groups and Workshops may include:
    • Social Skills
    • Positive Behaviour Supports
    • Sensory Needs
    • Parent Support Group
  3. Home Consultation
    • Identify goals with family
    • Community collaboration – recommend, discuss and model intervention strategies with the family and the child’s professional support team
    • Evaluate intervention strategies
  4. Education
    • Provide information to families and/or agencies about Autism Spectrum Disorder, social skills, anger management, etc.
    • Provide resource materials to families or agencies
