The Southern Network of Specialized Care was created in 2006 as part of the Ministry of Community and Social Services’ transformation of developmental services. At that time four networks of Specialized Care were established: Northern Ontario, Central Ontario, Southern Ontario and Eastern Ontario. The Networks were created to ensure a system which is: accessible; coordinated and integrated; and accountable.

OASIS –Ontario Agencies Supporting Individuals with Special Needs
Bethesda is 1 of 136 member agencies of OASIS whose Mission is:
"To facilitate the sharing of ideas, resources, systems and information. OASIS will liaise with Government on behalf of member organizations with the goal of improving the development of cost effective quality supports for individuals with developmental disabilities."

Great Lakes Society for Developmental Services of Ontario
"The Great Lakes Society for Developmental Services of Ontario was founded in 1992 by a group of agencies including Bethesda that provide services and supports to persons with a Developmental Disability. Many of these agencies, representing all regions of the province of Ontario, have a long history of service in the field, while others are relatively new, and have developed as a response to the province's shift to community based supports." - The Great Lakes Society for Developmental Services of Ontario
