Children Services

Bethesda Community Services Inc., as part of its mandate, provides specialized services and supports to children with special needs, their families, and agencies within the Niagara Region.

For children in the Niagara region under the age of 18, we offer the following:

Autism Services - Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA Services and Supports)
Provides short-term goal-oriented interventions to children under the age of 18 who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. ABA Services focus on skill development in the following areas: communication, social skills, daily living skills, and behaviour management/emotional control.

Autism Spectrum Disorder Respite Services
Offers a variety of respite services for children 2-1/2 years of age up to their 18th birthday, including After School Social Skills Groups,, Pre-School Groups, Saturday Recreation Programs, seasonal camps, Flex Funds, and In-Home Respite Services. 

Children’s Developmental Assessment Services
Offers multidisciplinary assessments for children for whom a developmental disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder is diagnosed or is suspected.

Hamilton-Niagara Regional Autism Intervention Program
Offers behavioural intervention services for young children with a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder. These services can improve the children's ability to function and participate in their community and can enhance the quality of life for themselves and their families.

Children’s Behaviour Support Services
Provides behavioural consultation, treatment and education for children who have special needs, their families and their support staff.
