Since working for Children and Youth Services at Bethesda, my “feel good moments” are the many and daily smiles from kids I see during our sessions and hearing them say my name! I also love the spontaneous greetings I get. It helps me know that I’m making the kids feel comfortable and happy to be here.
Vanessa Kitson
Vanessa Kitson is a Speech-Language Pathologist with the Children and Youth Services team. She received her Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York in 2020 and began working at Bethesda in 2021. She has a variety of experience providing speech therapy to both adults and children with various communication needs and loves collaborating with various disciplines. Vanessa is passionate about providing client-centered care through individualized therapy while also supporting and educating caregivers. Vanessa is a registered member of the College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
Domenica Figliomeni
Domenica Figliomeni is a Speech-Language Pathologist with Children and Youth Services. She completed her post graduate degree at The University of Queensland (Australia) in 2012 and has since worked in a variety of settings as a SLP including education, home health, and private clinics. Domenica is passionate about building communication confidence in children with complex communication needs and supporting their caregivers through fun, positive and functional therapy. Domenica is a registered member of the College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).
